The implementation of English-Medium Instruction (EMI) programs has become one of the cornerstones of the internationalisation process in universities. The challenge of internationalisation must coexist with the meteoric rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI), whose impact on the university system in the coming years appears to be highly significant. Interest in the educational potential of AI has grown exponentially in a very short period of time, but interestingly, there is currently very little information available regarding its impact on the university sector. Although there is empirical evidence indicating that AI can significantly enhance learning experiences by personalizing education and overcoming language barriers—provided it is used correctly—, this evidence also highlights a clear lack of training for both faculty and students. Therefore, this proposal aims to address this issue through a comprehensive analysis of the impact of AI use by EMI teachers and students
