Rebeca

Rebeca Monasterio Velilla is a PhD student supervised by Dr. Yolanda Ruiz de Zarobe at the University of the Basque Country. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from the University of Deusto (2016-2020), and holds a master’s degree in Languages, Literatures and Cultures from the Illinois State University (2021-2022), where she also taught Spanish to students from the university. Rebeca has worked as an EFL teacher in several other schools previously, and currently, she is working as an English teacher giving extracurricular lessons to children at an academy in the Basque Country. Her PhD dissertation focuses on the methodology used to teach English, based on a natural, multisensorial multimodal approach, in order to observe and analyze its effectiveness, and the way in which it helps keep learners motivation.
