Abstract
In 2020, the world and Higher Education (HE) went through the shock of the Covid-19 pandemic, which saw a mass turn to online teaching and learning. We all had to adapt to a new modality demonstrating a resilience in the face of unprecedented challenges. That resilience is being tested again, this time, by Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI). To adapt, we’ll have to support students’ ethical and developmental usage of GenAI, and the AI Quality of Engagement Matrix (AIQEM) we present here, might be one way of doing just that.
