Janina Camille Vargas
She is a PhD student supervised by Professor María del Pilar García Mayo at the University of the Basque Country. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in European Languages (Spanish and German) from the University of the Philippines (Diliman) in 2013. She also holds a master’s degree in Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings from the University of the Basque Country (2019). Janina has worked as a foreign language teacher of Spanish and English, as well as an English-Tagalog translator. Her PhD thesis focuses on cross-linguistic influence in the L3 at the lexical level.
