Flor de lis González Mujico

Flor-de-lis holds a BA in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) and an MA in Applied Linguistics from Birkbeck College at the University of London. She is currently a PhD student in the Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings programme at the University of the Basque Country; her thesis investigation focuses on Motivation, Possible Selves, and Learner Autonomy vis-à-vis foreign language acquisition (FLA) and is supervised by Dr. David Lasagabaster.

Her pedagogical professional experience includes teaching English at the Laureate International University Group, the London School of English, International House, and the British Council.

To date, her research projects include: emotions and FLA; ICT technologies, passive learning, and FLA proficiency; FLA in relation to reading and out-of-class contexts; various translation and editing projects; and biographic novel writer.
