María Tania Barberán Recalde

María Tania Barberán Recalde is Professor at the English and German Philology and Translation and Interpretation Studies department of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). She holds a B.A. in English Philology (2008; with Honourable Mention in Linguistics) and she is Doctor of Linguistics (2019; PhD with Outstanding Grade, CUM LAUDE). Her current teaching includes undergraduate courses on English Language, Spoken English and pronunciation and English Grammar within the Generative Framework in the B.A. in English Studies. Her current research focuses on the acquisition of English as a Foreign Language, with special attention to morphosyntactic, semantic and pragmatic features. She has attended national and international conferences, and she has published articles and chapters in a series of journals on the following topics: (i) early acquisition of first languages, (ii) acquisition of second/foreign languages and (iii) bilingualism/multilingualism.
