Francisco Gallardo-del-Puerto
Francisco Gallardo-del-Puerto is Associate Professor at the University of Cantabria. He was a teacher at the University of the Basque Country (2001-2011), where he received his PhD in 2004 with a thesis on the acquisition of L3 English pronunciation. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of Zagreb (Croatia) and at the University of Iowa (USA).
His current teaching involves undergraduate courses in English Language and Linguistics as well as postgraduate courses in the Master’s programs Language Acquisition in Multilingual Settings at the University of the Basque Country (Spain), and Second Language Learning and Teaching at the University of Cantabria (Spain).
He was the Academic Director for Language Policy at the University of Cantabria (Spain) (2015-2021) and the Coordinator for International Relations, Student Affairs and Extension Courses (2013-2015) and the Director of the Master’s Second Language Learning and Teaching at the Faculty of Education (2013-2015). He curently is one of the five members of the executive board the Spanish Association for English and American Studies (AEDEAN), where he previously was the Coordinator for the Panel ‘Language Teaching and Acquisition’ (2013-2017).
